Marietta is one of the suburbs our crew knows block by block. We’ve carried sofas up the front steps of bungalows off Whitlock Avenue, padded antiques out of homes near the Marietta Square, and shuttled furniture down the long East Cobb driveways that a 26-ft truck can’t always back into. Local Movers Online has been running our own trucks and W-2 crews here since 2008, so when we quote your move we already know the streets and the buildings.

The Square historic district, Whitlock Heights, and the older streets near Kennesaw Mountain are full of 1920s-to-40s homes with narrow doorways and no garage. Out in East Cobb along Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry, you get split-levels and gated subdivisions with steep, tree-lined driveways. Each one changes how we load, and our crew chief Andre plans the truck position before we ever ring the bell.

  • Tight metered parking around the Square — we stage on a side street and hand-carry.
  • Steep East Cobb driveways — we’ll run a smaller shuttle when the big truck can’t fit.
  • Older homes with no elevator or garage — we bring door jamb guards and extra blankets standard.

Flat-rate pricing, written before move day

Our crew, our trucks

  • Marcus or Krista picks up the phone — no call center
  • Written flat-rate quote = exactly what you pay at delivery
  • Same crew loads and unloads, every move
  • $1M cargo coverage, COI same-day for buildings
  • Claims handled in-house — Marcus signs off personally

× Broker chain

  • Call center routes you, your number gets sold
  • Quote rebilled at delivery for “extras”
  • Different unknown carrier per trip
  • Generic certificate, COI is a fight
  • “Not our crew” runaround on damage claims

Whether it’s a one-bedroom near the Square or a four-bedroom in East Cobb, we give you a binding flat rate in writing. A 3-bed local move here generally lands in the $1,200-$1,900 range. Nothing changes on move day, your goods are covered by $1M cargo coverage, and Full Value Protection is there if you want it. We pack, load, and drive it ourselves — you’re dealing with the actual mover, start to finish.

Headed out of Cobb County entirely? We run our own long-distance lanes north toward Tennessee and the Carolinas, so the same crew that loads your Marietta home can be the one that unloads it.

I highly recommend Local Movers Online. I had to move my father from one assisted living facility to another. Mike and Pervis showed up and without hesitation moved his items down a hallway, down an elevator and down another hallway out a service entrance in 45 minutes. I was totally impressed. The entire move from Decatur to Marietta including travel was completed in 2 hours which was less than I expected. There was also an error in the charge to my charge card which Brittany in customer service promptly handled. Shelby was great too in arranging this move in a very short notice. Thanks again and highly recommend this mover.

The move and movers themselves were great. Slight damage to my vinyl floor at my old apartment, otherwise no issues. Company however, different story. I moved in early July, (it’s now mid November) and they have been ghosting my emails for a month now regarding my refund on what i was charged for damage to said floors. Keep in mind, before they were saying they are paying me and that they’re just having “internet issues”. Nearly 5 months to get a little over $100 refund on damage that I had to pay for is absolutely insane. For a college student, that makes a difference. Trying to call tomorrow.

Area FAQs

Common questions about moving in Marietta

Can your trucks get into the Marietta Square area?
Yes. We move households on and around the Square all the time. Parking is metered and tight, so our crew chief Andre stages the 26-ft truck on a side street like Church or Atlanta St and we hand-carry through the front when a building has no loading bay. For a 2-bed condo near the Square plan on roughly $700-$1,100 flat-rate.
What does a local move from East Cobb usually cost?
A typical 3-bed in East Cobb (30062/30068) runs about $1,200-$1,900 flat-rate with our own crew and truck, depending on stairs, the long driveways out there, and whether you want us packing. You get the number in writing before move day and it doesn't change.
Do you handle the older homes near Kennesaw Mountain?
We do. Plenty of those 1940s homes have narrow doorways and no garage, so we bring extra padding and door jamb protectors and disassemble beds and armoires on site. No surprise fees for that.
